The Body Shop
Neil obtained his degree in Physics at The University of Bath in 1995. After graduating he joined The Body Shop’s R&D team developing colour cosmetics and spent the next 5 years learning the art of colour matching. He moved on to work for Swallowfield in Devon for a short period of time before moving to Meller beauty, a contract manufacturer in Bedfordshire to create a new cosmetics development team, developing product in the UK, but manufactured in China.
In 2006 Neil moved back down to the south coast to work for COSi, the main supplier of products to The Body Shop. His work life came full circle in 2008 when he re-joined The Body Shop R&D team in Littlehampton responsible for developing skincare, bath and shower care products.
During his second stint at The Body shop Neil has been responsible for various technical areas within the business but now spends his days as R&I Director.
During his 22 year career Neil has worked with manufacturers of all shapes and sizes, from a small garage based manufacturer with a single vessel to the largest cosmetics company in the world with state of the art equipment.
