The Brooks academic building, is within walking distance of the main transport hubs of central Manchester, and is adjacent to many of the main bus routes.
It is located between Stretford Road, Old Birley Street and the Princess Parkway and is less than 10 minutes’ walk away from the rest of the Manchester Campus and Oxford Road.
The new Birley development has been designed to be a green facility with minimal reliance on car travel therefore, travelling by public transport is advised, wherever possible.
You can walk to the Brooks Building from Manchester’s three main railway stations: it is approximately a 25-minute walk from Piccadilly, 15 minutes walk from Oxford Road and a similar walk from Deansgate.
The nearest Metrolink station is Deansgate-Castlefield, approximately 10 minutes’ walk away.
Numerous buses operate between the Brooks building and Manchester City Centre.

Limited visitor parking is available for members of the public. This includes 17 dedicated spaces for blue-badge holders. The visitor car park can only be accessed via the slip road off the Northbound carriageway of Princess Parkway. Please use the Birley Access Map for guidance.
